According to UATV: On July 19, 2023, Russian forces targeted a five-story apartment block in Zaporizhzhia with a guided aerial bomb. This tragic incident resulted in two fatalities and at least ten injuries. The strike caused extensive structural damage, collapsing two floors of the building and shattering windows and balconies on a nearby nine-story structure.

Additional destruction occurred in a private residential area, and a logistics terminal caught fire. The city and its surrounding region had faced attacks from drones, guided bombs, and artillery throughout the evening of July 18 and into the night of July 19. Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, confirmed these events.
