Intercepting Russian planes by Hungarian fighters
According to inkorr.com: On September 25, Thursday, two Hungarian Gripen fighters intercepted five Russian military aircraft. This information was published by 'Glavkom', referring to the official account of the Alliance's Air Force on social media.
“Two Hungarian Gripen fighters of NATO in the Baltic region took to the skies on September 25 from Šiauliai, responding to Su-30, Su-35, and three MiG-31 aircraft that flew near the airspace of Lithuania,” the statement said.
According to NATO, Hungary reaffirms its commitment to the Alliance by ensuring the protection of the Baltic countries and the eastern flank.
The situation in Europe remains tense, as evidenced by the suspension of flights at Aalborg Airport in Denmark due to the presence of unidentified drones. This underscores the need to enhance security measures in airspace and other locations where threats to citizens and infrastructure may arise.
Events related to air security in the region indicate increasing tension, making NATO's actions and those of its member countries, such as Hungary, vital for maintaining stability and protecting allies. Monitoring military activities will continue to be on the agenda both in NATO and throughout Europe.
