British Airline Eastern Airways Declares Bankruptcy: Details.
Eastern Airways Declares Bankruptcy
According to The Sun: The British regional airline Eastern Airways has officially entered administration. Last week, the company laid off 330 employees after filing for an administrator appointment on October 27. Founded in 1997, Eastern Airways was one of the few regional airlines in the UK providing services across England and Scotland.
“We regret this situation, which will affect our employees and customers,” said a company representative.
The company attempted to improve its financial performance, but unfortunately could not achieve stability in a challenging market.
The bankruptcy of Eastern Airways illustrates the difficulties faced by regional carriers during times of economic uncertainty. The situation in the air transport market remains tense, and similar collapses may affect the availability of air services in less populated areas.
