Ukrainian Chess Players Won Gold at the European Championship: How They Achieved It.
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian chess players once again impressed the world with their excellent performance at international competitions. The men's team, which started the tournament with not very high chances, ultimately won gold. Athletes Ruslan Ponomariov, Andriy Volokitin, Anton Korobov, Ihor Kovalenko, and Ihor Samunenko showed confidence and became the first in the final match against the team from England.
The men's team was only ninth in the initial ranking list... and secured the gold.
The Women's Team and the Youth Festival
Our women also performed admirably: the women's team, raising the flag of Ukraine, won silver medals at the European Championship. Ukrainian female chess players demonstrated their skill and confidently represented the country on the international stage.
Also, at the European Youth Olympic Festival, young Ukrainian chess players won numerous medals, indicating a promising future for Ukrainian chess.
