Ukraine exported a record amount of sugar beet pulp: who are the key buyers.
According to inkorr.com: Ukraine continues to strengthen its position in the agricultural markets of Europe. In the last marketing year, the country exported about 158 thousand tons of granulated sugar beet pulp for a total of more than 23 million dollars. The highest demand for this product was shown by Germany, which became the main importer, as reported by the 'Ukrtsukor' association.
Main importers of pulp from Ukraine
Germany - 22% of total exports;
Spain - 21%;
Poland - 21%;
Italy - 12%;
Netherlands - 9%.
The companies 'Radehivsky Sugar', 'Almeida Group', and 'Ukrprominvest-Agro' have become leaders among exporters, ensuring 83% of all deliveries. This sector contributes to increasing profitability and brings additional income to Ukraine.
Use of sugar beet pulp
Sugar beet pulp is animal feed after processing beets into sugar. It is extremely important for feeding cattle, pigs, and other agricultural animals.
Ukraine in agricultural markets
Ukraine remains an important player in the world's agricultural markets. In 2024, the country became the third largest exporter of honey in the world. The main buyers of Ukrainian agricultural products are Germany, the USA, Poland, France, and Belgium. In 2025, Germany will become the largest importer of Ukrainian frozen vegetables.
Thanks to the active development of agricultural markets, Ukraine is expanding its export range and strengthening partnerships with European countries. This indicates the dynamic development of the agricultural sector, which is of great importance for the economy and food security of the country.
