NOC of Ukraine began preparations for the 2026 Olympics: what is known about the plans.

According to inkorr.com: On November 12, a meeting dedicated to the preparation of the national team of Ukraine for the XXV Winter Olympic Games 2026, which will be held from February 6 to 22 in the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, took place at the Olympic House.

Representatives of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, coaches of sports in which Ukrainian athletes will compete, as well as persons responsible for the team's preparation were present at the event.

President of the NOC of Ukraine, Olympic champion Vadym Hutsait, and Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Oleksiy Nikitenko addressed the participants with welcoming words. They emphasized the importance of clear coordination of actions among all structures responsible for the team's preparation, effective resource utilization, and creating adequate conditions for athletes to ensure Ukraine's successful participation in the XXV Winter Olympic Games 2026.

Reports were presented by the executive director of the NOC of Ukraine Lyudmyla Panchenko, the director of the Olympic movement and sports department Ivan Bondarchuk, as well as medical staff of the national team, who will provide medical services to the athletes.

Key preparation issues

During the meeting, participants discussed the main issues of preparation:

• the number of acquired and projected Olympic licenses;
• conducting final training camps;
• logistics and ensuring the transportation and accommodation of athletes;
• obtaining equipment;
• issues of medical support.

Preparation for the Winter Olympic Games is proceeding in a planned and coordinated rhythm. All responsible structures - NOC of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, federations - coordinate their actions to create the best conditions for athletes and support their successful performance at these competitions in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.

As a result of the meeting, it was decided to start intensive preparation of the national team of Ukraine for the Winter Olympic Games 2026. All coordination and team support activities were taken over by the responsible structures, guaranteeing the successful participation of Ukrainian athletes in these prestigious competitions.

This meeting was an important step in preparing the Ukrainian team for the Olympic Games.
