Minister of Energy on the upcoming winter: how Ukraine is preparing for Russian shelling.
Preparations for the heating season 2025-2026
According to inkorr.com: The Minister of Energy Svitlana Hrynchuk reported on the active preparation of Ukraine for the heating season of 2025-2026. She emphasized that all necessary measures are being taken for the stable operation of heating networks and heating systems.
Currently, repairs, restoration works, and the filling of reserves of gas, coal, and fuel oil are ongoing. Due to constant shelling from Russia targeting energy facilities, the main problem remains ensuring their safety.
'The important part of this is the assistance for purchasing imported gas, which is provided by the EBRD, Norway, and the European Investment Bank', - emphasized Hrynchuk.
Hrynchuk also stressed the need for support from international partners to ensure the country's energy security and prepare for the upcoming heating season.
Preparation for the new heating season is a critically important task for Ukraine, especially in the context of potential threats from the aggressor. Cooperation with international partners, particularly on the import of energy resources, will ensure the reliability and resilience of the country's energy system during the winter period.
