Ukraine will strengthen air defense and build new energy units at the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant, - Zelensky.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, thanked the defenders of the Ukrainian sky for their successful resistance against the Russian attack. During this attack, approximately 20 missiles and 125 drones of various types were launched. A large portion of enemy targets was successfully destroyed.
'Particularly noteworthy are the mobile fire groups of the 302nd Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade from Kharkiv - they are great, true warriors!', - the President stated in his address.
Zelensky also highlighted the important role of helicopter pilots from all branches of the armed forces, who ensure the destruction of enemy drones under challenging conditions. In the near future, Ukraine plans to conduct negotiations with partners to strengthen its air defense capabilities.
An important step in the field of energy security is the decision of the Verkhovna Rada to build two new energy units at the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant. This will allow Ukraine to provide over 2 gigawatts of electricity and to abandon electricity imports in winter.
According to the President, this decision will also help mitigate the rise in electricity prices for the population and strengthen Ukraine's position in negotiations with the USA regarding special economic projects.
A series of meetings with representatives of the United States at various levels is planned in the near future. Additionally, questions regarding the reduction of drug prices in Ukrainian pharmacies and the introduction of new sanctions will be discussed at the NSDC meeting.
