Frontline Situation and the Need for Support

According to UATV: According to military expert Serhiy Hrabskyi, no major frontline changes are expected in the near term, but Ukrainian defenders are intensifying pressure on the adversary. For any significant breakthroughs, Ukraine would need to triple the size of its military force. Hrabskyi also underscores the critical role of international backing, especially financial commitments for 2026–2027, in sustaining Ukraine's defense efforts.

For now, the frontline remains static. With the situation holding steady, Ukrainian troops are focusing on ramping up pressure against the enemy.

“If we don’t expect any serious changes on the front in the near future, that means we are increasing pressure on the adversary,” said Serhiy Hrabskyi.
He further stresses that achieving meaningful results will require a substantial expansion of Ukraine’s military personnel.

Necessary Adjustments and Financial Support

Hrabskyi emphasizes that

“to achieve this, we need to build up our force by at least three times,” he stated.
This demands a systematic approach and adequate resource allocation. The challenges of war call for a shift in tactics, particularly operations deep behind enemy lines. He adds: “Realizing that grinding down enemy soldiers is difficult, time-consuming, and costly, we are moving to tactics and actions in the enemy’s deep rear.”

A key factor influencing frontline dynamics is financial aid to Ukraine. At the NATO summit in Ankara, discussions focused on providing Ukraine with financial support for 2026–2027. Plans involve securing approximately €70 billion in 2026. Hrabskyi notes that

“with such sums—around €70 billion in 2026—we could cover about 85% of our needs for strike capabilities,” Hrabskyi explained.
This funding would help Ukraine acquire the resources needed to bolster military operations on the front.

In summary, the future course of the frontline hinges on Ukraine’s ability to expand its armed forces and secure international assistance. The proposed financial support is a vital element for strengthening the country’s defense capacity, enabling Ukraine to adapt to new battlefield challenges. If these plans materialize, Ukrainian forces could gain the tools necessary for effective operations against the enemy.
