Ukraine presented the underwater drone Toloka-1000: with a range of up to 2000 km and 3 months of autonomy.
According to inkorr.com: At the Defense Tech Valley 2025 exhibition, Ukrainian engineers showcased a model of the largest underwater drone from the 'Toloka' line. This series of robotic underwater devices can perform tasks ranging from reconnaissance to target engagement at distances of up to 2000 km, as reported by the publication 'Militarnyi'.
Technologies of the Toloka company: Toloka-1000 model
The Toloka company presented three drone models: Toloka-1000, Toloka-400, and Toloka-200. The largest of them, the Toloka-1000, is a diesel-electric underwater drone that can carry up to 5000 kg of payload, dive to a depth of up to 1000 meters, and has a range of up to 2000 km with an operational autonomy of up to three months.
'In practice, it is a diesel-electric underwater drone,' explained a representative of the Toloka company.
Thanks to a hybrid power unit, the device can remain underwater for an extended time, and when the battery charge decreases, it surfaces for recharging.
Smaller models Toloka-400 and Toloka-200
The Toloka series also features smaller models—the Toloka-400 and Toloka-200, each with its own specific characteristics and purposes.
- Toloka-400: Has a range of up to 1200 km and can carry over 500 kg of payload.
- Toloka-200: An electric drone suitable for reconnaissance or mine laying. Its speed reaches 15 knots, range - 100 km, and weight of the warhead - 20 kg.
Drones 'Toloka': more than torpedoes
Developers emphasize that their devices are not torpedoes but fully functional robotic platforms designed for prolonged operation and reconnaissance. Equipped with numerous sensors and artificial intelligence technology, they can independently perform a wide range of tasks on maritime theaters of war.
The new 'Toloka' drones, showcased at the Defense Tech Valley 2025 exhibition, are capable of operating at great depths, have a long flight range, and extended operational autonomy. These robotic platforms are designed to perform various tasks at sea using modern technologies.
The development of 'Toloka' drones reflects significant progress in Ukrainian technologies in the defense sector. These devices can substantially improve reconnaissance and strike capabilities at sea, which is critically important in the face of modern challenges. The innovative solutions presented at the exhibition underline Ukraine's progress in the development of robotic systems capable of performing complex tasks in various conditions.
