Ukraine lost to Turkey at the start of the World Media Football Championship.
The Ukrainian national team in media football started at the 2025 Kings World Cup Nations. In the first match against Turkey, the Ukrainians suffered a defeat with a score of 0:5.
In the second half, Suad Ak scored four goals for the Turkish team, scoring the last goal in the last two minutes of the match, which counts as two goals. Yevhen Konoplyanka failed to capitalize on his chances.
The tournament takes place from January 1 to 12 in Milan, Italy, and the final will be held in Turin. The competition is held under the rules of 7x7 football.
The Ukrainian team consists of players from the UA Steel club, who participated in the Kings World Cup tournament in the summer.
The Ukrainian team features such well-known footballers as Denys Boyko, Junior Moraes, Yevhen Konoplyanka, Denys Oliynyk, Yuriy Pankiv, and Mykola Morozuk. Additionally, several players from the Ukrainian socca team, which became the vice-champion of the world in 2023, are included. The head coach of the team is Valeriy Fedorchuk.
In the consolation round, the Ukrainian team will face the team that loses in the match between Colombia and Morocco.
