Mine clearance achievements of August
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Defense reported that in August more than 5,973 hectares of de-occupied territories were cleared of explosive objects. This is an important step towards ensuring the safety of civilians.
In total, more than 5,653 hectares of agricultural land, over 7 kilometers of roads, more than 15 kilometers of power lines, and almost 67 kilometers of railway tracks have been cleared. Additionally, over 9 hectares of water bodies have been neutralized.
- During the month, 8,410 explosive objects were detected and destroyed.
- Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 458 thousand dangerous objects have been eliminated.
Moreover, there are currently 119 certified operators of mine action in Ukraine, nine of whom received certification in August.
Throughout August, the clearance units achieved significant results by freeing large areas from explosive objects. This contributed to the increased safety of residents and the restoration of infrastructure in the de-occupied lands.
The completed demining actions in August demonstrate Ukraine's efforts to ensure safety in the de-occupied territories. Preventing dangerous situations leads to improved living conditions for local residents and creates conditions for the recovery of the economy in the affected regions.
