According to the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, 5,138 hectares of land have been cleared at a cost of 328.2 million hryvnias. The largest area subject to clearance is located in the Kharkiv, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions.
In Kharkiv region, according to ministry representatives, an area of more than 1,700 hectares has been returned to use. During the demining process, anti-tank mines and unguided aerial missiles were found here. The work lasted for 5 months - from May to September 2025.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that this is an important achievement, as farmers will now be able to safely start cultivating the cleared land this year, without worrying about risks to life and equipment.
Summary
The completion of the demining of agricultural land as part of the state program provides opportunities for farmers to safely use the cleared plots for agricultural needs in 2025. This will significantly enhance food security and support the recovery of the agricultural sector in regions affected by the conflict.
