The Ministry of Veterans Affairs is developing a new support model for veterans on probation.
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Veterans Affairs has announced the creation of a new support model for veterans with combat experience who are under probation supervision.
Individual approach and cooperation
During the discussion, it was noted that an important element of this model will be the individual approach to each case and the cooperation of various institutions in the resocialization process. Special attention is planned to be given not only to the psychological state of veterans but also to their medical and social needs.
'The issue is not about punishment but about how to provide help to a person with combat experience in returning to normal life,' noted Farhad Farhadov, Deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
Establishing a working group
A decision was made to form a special working group that will develop effective resocialization programs for veterans on probation. These programs will take into account combat experience, psychological state, social context, and medical needs of the target group.
Among the planned activities are conducting research on the socio-psychological characteristics of veterans on probation, developing psychological support programs, engaging veteran organizations, and launching a pilot resocialization project.
Program goals
'Our goal is to create a system that will support veterans in their return to a full life and prevent reoffending,' emphasized the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
Thus, supporting veterans with combat experience during resocialization is extremely important. The new model developed by the Ministry aims to assist them in this process. By considering the individual needs of each veteran and ensuring cooperation between institutions, this model will provide the necessary psychological, medical, and social support for their reintegration into a full life and prevent further offenses.
