Ukraine develops a new housing strategy: what will change for citizens.
Meeting with the World Bank delegation
According to inkorr.com: In the Ministry of Community Development and Territories of Ukraine, a meeting was held with representatives of the World Bank. They discussed the development of the State Housing Policy Strategy of Ukraine and the HOPE project within the eRecovery program. Participants examined the progress on the document, its structure, and key directions. Currently, meetings of working subgroups are ongoing, focusing on various components of housing policy.
World Bank experts proposed conducting a study of the rental housing market to summarize international experience and best practices in regulating rental relationships. The parties agreed to continue cooperation in this direction to create a balanced housing policy strategy. Deputy Minister of Community Development and Territories of Ukraine Natalia Kozlovska noted:
“Cooperation with the World Bank helps integrate the best global practices into the strategy development process.”
This meeting is an important step towards improving housing policy in Ukraine, as appropriate strategies can significantly impact the accessibility of housing for the population. Collaboration with international organizations such as the World Bank allows Ukraine to borrow proven solutions and adapt them to local conditions, which is critically important in today's realities.
