Cooperation between Ukraine and Japan in Humanitarian Demining
Ukraine and Japan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining at the UMAC 2025 conference. This agreement aims to enhance security in the country and restore important sectors of the economy. In particular, the document outlines joint measures for demining agricultural lands, developing demining equipment, and strengthening Ukraine's anti-mine capabilities through joint programs. Partnership with Japan under this Memorandum also includes cooperation in areas such as energy, investments, critical minerals, the agricultural sector, and ecology. This step is significant for improving the effectiveness of humanitarian demining and restoring Ukraine's economy. The agreement with Japan will be an important step toward improving the security situation in Ukraine and fostering sustainable development in key industries. The joint efforts of both countries could significantly impact the pace of recovery in affected areas, which is extremely relevant in light of the new challenges facing Ukraine.Read also
