'Housing is the foundation for bringing people home, for the life of communities, and for restoring the economy. Over 300,000 homes have been destroyed or damaged, 4.6 million are internally displaced persons, and the recovery needs reach 80 billion USD. We already have the first results in housing restoration, and in 2026, we plan to scale up these efforts, particularly with the support of the German government.'
eRestoration Program
One of the options for housing restoration in Ukraine is the compensation program for damaged or destroyed housing called eRestoration, which has already helped many families receive the necessary support. Important aspects also include the rapid involvement of funding, simplification of urban planning procedures, and the development of social housing.
Cooperation with Germany
The Ministry actively cooperates with the German government for housing restoration and territorial planning, particularly through the eRestoration program and other initiatives aimed at improving housing conditions and restoring infrastructure.
This initiative of the Ministry of Community and Territory Development of Ukraine emphasizes the importance of international cooperation in restoring infrastructure after large-scale destructions. Cooperation with Germany opens new opportunities for the implementation of projects that will improve living conditions and support people who have lost their homes.
