Ukraine repelled the Russian attack on its energy infrastructure
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Ukraine successfully repelled a large-scale Russian attack on its energy infrastructure. According to him, Russian forces fired 94 missiles and nearly 200 attack drones, but most of them were shot down. Zelensky emphasized that the Russians chose this moment for the attack, hoping to overload the Ukrainian air defense system. In response to this act of aggression, Ukraine demonstrated its readiness and ability to defend its borders and protect its national security.
Creation of the Technological Headquarters and military assistance from the USA
Zelensky stressed that the creation of the Technological Headquarters, which brings together military personnel, intelligence services, weapon manufacturers, and scientists, is an important step in strengthening Ukraine's defense capability. In addition, Ukraine received important military assistance from the USA amounting to 500 million dollars. This assistance includes missiles for air defense systems and HIMARS artillery weaponry. Zelensky also held talks with the leaders of Finland and Latvia regarding strengthening defense cooperation and discussing opportunities for additional support.
Zelensky called for ensuring world peace
'Every Time the Russians attack our country, we must show Putin that his terror will not go unanswered,' Zelensky said. He also called on all his partners to focus on ensuring peace and stability in the world and expressed gratitude to all countries that support Ukraine during this difficult time.
