Ukraine launches green transformation: what investments are needed for decarbonization.
According to inkorr.com: Roman Andrarak, Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, during an online meeting with a UNIDO representative highlighted the importance of accelerating the decarbonization process of industry by attracting international investments. He noted that Ukraine has identified key priorities in the energy sector, including ensuring energy security, decarbonizing industry, developing renewable energy, and implementing innovative solutions.
'We are particularly interested in innovative technologies, from hydrogen and green ammonia to thermal storage systems, modern insulation, cutting-edge heating systems, and other digital solutions. These areas are crucial for Ukraine's green transformation, reducing our dependence on fossil fuels, and strengthening energy independence,'he stated.
During the meeting with UNIDO, the results of research in sustainable energy systems and innovative solutions for accelerating the decarbonization of industry were also discussed. Andrarak called for joint development of pilot projects and attracting investments in clean technologies to enhance energy independence and modernize the industrial sector.
'I am confident that today's dialogue with UNIDO will open new opportunities for investments, joint projects, and technological cooperation between Ukraine, UNIDO, and our international partners,'he concluded.
Ukraine actively seeks to attract international investments for implementing innovative energy solutions that will contribute to the decarbonization of industry and enhance energy independence. Cooperation with UNIDO opens new opportunities for the development of clean technologies in Ukraine, which is an important step in the right direction.
