Ukraine imposed sanctions against 293 individuals and companies: who has fallen under restrictions
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting on September 30 dedicated to strengthening the state's sanction policy and coordinating restrictive measures with international partners. Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and the president's advisor on sanctions policy Vladyslav Vasyuk presented a report on the achieved results and new sanction decisions.

According to inkorr.com: During the meeting, the results of five sanction packages adopted in September were announced. Ukraine imposed restrictions on 293 individuals and organizations, including 166 individuals and 127 legal entities. The sanctions affected those who support the Russian military-industrial complex, the so-called shadow fleet of Russia, and the energy sector of the aggressor country. The list also included propagandists, pro-Russian figures from Moldova, and individuals cooperating with the occupying authorities in temporarily occupied Crimea.

International Restrictions

In addition to its own sanctions, Ukraine synchronized its measures with the British restrictions, implementing them within its jurisdiction. On September 15, the international working group dealing with sanctions against Russia published a document titled 'New Sanctions to Force the Russian Federation to Agree to a Ceasefire in Ukraine', which contains recommendations for increasing pressure on the energy and financial sectors of Russia.

During the meeting, the president of Ukraine, together with representatives of the National Security and Defense Council, discussed further strengthening sanctions against individuals and organizations that violate the state's sovereignty and support aggressive influence. Measures aimed at complicating the activities of Russian military structures and their allies in neighboring countries are becoming increasingly active thanks to the joint efforts of Ukraine and international partners.

Ukraine's sanction policy is an important element in countering Russian aggression. Joint efforts with international partners, especially the coordination of sanctions, help increase the effectiveness of restrictive measures, contributing to economic pressure on the aggressor. Further steps in this area will be crucial for protecting Ukraine's national interests.
