Ukraine has completed screening with the EU: what will change in agricultural policy.
According to inkorr.com: In Brussels, meetings between the Ukrainian delegation and representatives of the European Commission have concluded, dedicated to negotiations on Chapter 11 'Agriculture and Rural Development'. Over three days, Ukraine presented 28 thematic blocks covering various aspects of agricultural policy.
Agricultural reforms and cooperation with the EU
The discussions at the Ukrainian speeches focused on reforms in agriculture, achievements in digitalization, state support, and market regulation. Special attention was paid to the necessity of aligning Ukraine's legislation with European norms in the agricultural sector.
These discussions revealed two key things: we have already made significant progress in bringing agricultural policy closer to EU standards, but much work remains ahead. The accession process requires joint efforts and close coordination. Ukraine is ready to follow this path.
Representatives of the European Commission expressed support and interest in further cooperation, emphasizing their positive evaluation of the materials provided. Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine Denys Bashlyk confirmed the country's readiness to integrate into the EU's common agricultural policy.
As a result of the meetings held in Brussels, important agreements were reached and support from the European Commission was obtained regarding the adaptation of Ukraine's agricultural policy to European standards. The dialogue between the parties demonstrated readiness for cooperation and integration with European partners. This confirms the active process of Ukraine's European integration in the agricultural sector.
Thus, the results of these meetings could become an important step for Ukraine on the path to rapprochement with European standards in the agricultural sector. Support from the European Commission opens new opportunities for improving agricultural policy and enhancing conditions for Ukrainian farmers in the European market.
