Ukraine at the junior world championship in biathlon
The junior world championship in biathlon took place in Ostersund, Sweden, where the Ukrainian team was represented by 16 athletes. During the competitions, which lasted from February 26 to March 5, 18 sets of medals were contested.
Ukraine managed to win one medal - 'bronze' from Oleksandra Merkusheva in the mass start-60 of the senior category. In addition, Ukrainians twice reached the top 5 in individual races and took fifth place in the youth mixed event.
Thanks to Merkusheva's bronze medal, the Ukrainian team finished the competition with a medal for the third time in a row. Recall that in 2022, the Ukrainian team ended without medals.
