Ukraine will increase gas imports by 30%: how it will meet winter needs.
According to inkorr.com: Ukraine is forced to increase natural gas imports by 30% due to Russia's attacks on gas infrastructure. Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk emphasized that the country is ready to provide the necessary gas volumes in October, November, and December.
Financing of gas purchases
800 million dollars have already been attracted for the procurement of gas, and there is also the possibility of obtaining additional financing from other countries to support Ukraine's energy security.
Dependence of financing amounts
The Minister noted that the final financing amount will depend on various factors, including the extent of damage to the gas infrastructure and the speed of its restoration.
The situation with gas supplies in Ukraine remains critically important due to the ongoing attacks on infrastructure. Increasing gas imports will be a necessary step to ensure the stability of the energy sector during the winter period. It is expected that further decisions regarding financing and support for energy security will be actively discussed at the international level.
