Ukraine harvested over 29 million tons of grain: which regions lead in yield.
According to inkorr.com: In Ukraine, 29.15 million tons of grain crops have been harvested from an area of 7,007.9 thousand hectares, which is 62% of the total sown area. This information was published by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
Grain Harvest Volumes
According to the department's data, the following have been harvested:
- Wheat – 22,189.8 thousand tons from an area of 5,008.2 thousand hectares.
- Barley – 5,290.5 thousand tons from an area of 1,344.8 thousand hectares.
- Peas – 611.6 thousand tons from an area of 265.7 thousand hectares.
- Corn – 192.2 thousand tons from an area of 54.1 thousand hectares.
- Other grains and legumes – 801.1 thousand tons from an area of 291.5 thousand hectares.
Leaders in Grain Harvesting
Among the regions that have achieved significant results in grain harvesting, the Odesa, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, and Khmelnytsky regions stand out. For example, the Kirovohrad region harvested 2,208.4 thousand tons from an area of 535.5 thousand hectares.
Positive Trends
This season's grain harvest in Ukraine indicates positive trends. The grain collection exceeding 29 million tons has already covered more than 60% of the sown fields, indicating good yields and effective work by agricultural enterprises.
