Ukraine to play in the 'bronze' match of the Futsal World Cup: opponent named.
The Ukrainian futsal team will compete for medals in the Futsal World Cup for the first time since their historic participation. Ukrainian athletes will play for third place against France. The Argentine team defeated the French national team with a score of 3:2, setting the opponents for the 'bronze' battle. The match will take place on October 6 at 15:30 Kyiv time.
Ukraine lost to Brazil in the semifinals with a score of 2:3. Losing the chance to reach the final, the 'blue-yellow' showed a national record by reaching the semifinals for the second time in history. The first time was at the 1996 World Cup, when Ukraine lost to Spain in the semifinals with a score of 1:4 and to Russia in the match for third place with a score of 2:3.
Earlier, in the second round of the World Cup, the Ukrainian team defeated the Angola team with a score of 7:2. In the third round, Ukrainians defeated Afghanistan with a score of 4:1, securing a place in the tournament playoffs.
