State Grants and Payouts in Ukraine: Who Can Receive Up to One Million Hryvnias.
Support Programs in Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine currently offers a range of government and international assistance programs. These include funding to start a business, payments for displaced persons, compensation for rent and damaged housing, as well as free education. These initiatives aim to support citizens facing tough economic conditions, especially those affected by the conflict.
A flagship program called 'Vlasna Sprava' (Own Business) provides grants ranging from 350,000 to 1 million hryvnias for launching a business. This enables entrepreneurs to secure the necessary capital to start or grow their ventures. Additionally, internally displaced persons receive monthly payments:
- 2,000 hryvnias for adults
- 3,000 hryvnias for children and people with disabilities
These payouts help cover basic needs for those forced to leave their homes.
Other Key Initiatives
The 'yeVidnovlennya' (Recovery) program also plays a vital role, offering funds for home repairs or a housing certificate to purchase a new residence. This is a crucial step for individuals who lost their homes due to hostilities. For veterans and families of fallen soldiers, a preferential mortgage program called 'yeOselya' has been available since July, offering an annual interest rate of just 3% to make housing more affordable for this group.
Furthermore, the maximum value of a voucher for free education is 33,280 hryvnias. This allows people to learn new trades or upgrade their skills. The International Committee of the Red Cross is also actively supporting Ukrainians, providing up to 274,000 hryvnias to help restore businesses. These programs not only aid in economic recovery but also contribute to social stability across the country.
United Nations assistance includes cash aid, rental support, legal advice, psychological counseling, and seasonal humanitarian help. Separate veteran-focused programs offer business grants, subsidized mortgages, sports initiatives, vocational training, and compensation. This comprehensive support helps many Ukrainians rebuild their lives and improve their well-being during challenging times.
Given the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, these aid programs are critically important for ensuring economic stability and social protection for the population. They help not only in restoring businesses and housing but also provide support for the most vulnerable groups, such as internally displaced people and veterans. This reflects the combined efforts of the state and international organizations to create conditions for recovery and societal development in a post-conflict environment.
