Mobilization deferment in September: under what conditions it can be canceled.
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainians were explained the reasons for which a deferment can be taken away in September. As reported by 'Khvylya', this information was provided by UNIAN.
In Ukraine, mobilization of conscript-age men continues. Those who cannot perform military service due to family circumstances or health conditions have the right to a deferment. Employees of strategic enterprises may also receive exemptions from conscription based on recommendations from their employers.
Who cannot be exempted from mobilization
No changes are planned in September regarding the rules for granting deferments to individuals. Heads of enterprises that are critically important for the economy may refuse to draft their employees.
Typically, the ability to exempt only half of conscript-age employees remains. This means that some men may be called to service even if they work at critical facilities. The decision on the selection of candidates for exemption remains with the management.
Reservists (former servicemen who have transitioned to reserve) cannot expect such benefits, as the law does not provide exceptions for them. Persons who violated military registration requirements also cannot be exempted from conscription. Men who are wanted in the 'Reserve+' system cannot be reserved.
When the right to exemption from conscription is lost
The main reasons for temporary exemption from mobilization are known: having a disability, raising three or more children, or one disabled child, caring for an incapacitated family member. Parents who raise children alone, as well as Ukrainians who have returned from Russian captivity, may receive exemptions.
However, even meeting these conditions does not guarantee avoidance of conscription. It is important that the right to deferment is officially registered at the territorial recruitment center and reflected in the 'Reserve+' system. For example, if a man has the right to exemption (such as being a disabled person) but has never approached the recruiting office to obtain documents, he may be drafted into service. This will be absolutely legal.
The obtained deferment can be canceled for violating established conditions. For example, students lose the right to deferment when transitioning to distance learning or receiving a second higher education diploma. Parents with multiple children who do not fulfill alimony obligations also lose the right to deferment. It is important that in all birth certificates, the same father is indicated, regardless of the mother.
Therefore, in September, no significant changes are planned in the rules for granting mobilization deferments in Ukraine. Men of conscription age can only be exempted from conscription by enterprises that are critically important for the country's economy. However, even with a deferment permit, it is essential to comply with all requirements, as otherwise, conscription remains quite likely.
