Ministry of Finance: the government promises not to delay social payments
The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine reassures citizens, claiming that no delays in social payments are expected next year. This news was announced by the head of the Ministry of Finance, Serhiy Marchenko, during a conversation with the press.
According to Marchenko, concerns about underfunding the social sector are unfounded. He stressed that supporting vulnerable segments of the population remains a priority for the government.
The draft budget for next year foresees the allocation of 419.2 billion hryvnias for social needs. Of this amount, 237.9 billion will be allocated for pensioners, 127.9 billion for supporting low-income families, and 42.3 billion hryvnias for implementing benefits and subsidy programs.
Serhiy Marchenko emphasized that the government intends to protect the most vulnerable categories of the population, despite challenging economic conditions.
