Ukrainians in Poland were told how to act if the employer does not pay wages.

This was reported by "Khvylya", citing "Spilno Wspólnie".

The Issue of Non-Payment of Wages in Poland

In recent years, more and more Ukrainians are choosing Poland for work and temporary residence. Despite the stable economic situation, some workers face the problem of non-payment of wages. In such a situation, it is especially important to know your rights and be able to defend them in a foreign country.

Instructions for Ukrainians in Poland

For Ukrainians working in Poland, a step-by-step instruction has been developed. Initially, it is recommended to send the employer a written demand for payment, called "Wezwanie do zapłaty". This can be done by sending the application by registered mail.

If your work in Poland is based on contracts "Umowy zlecenia", "Umowy o pracę" or "Umowa o dzielo", and the employer does not pay the funds, you need to contact the State Labor Inspectorate (Państwowa Inspekcja Pracy, PIP). Complaints can be submitted in person at any PIP branch or through the system www.pip.gov.pl. It is worth noting that complaints are considered anonymously and are reviewed within a month.
