Rules for Missing a Draft Center Appointment

According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian citizens who receive a summons from a Territorial Center for Recruitment (TCR, known locally as TTsK) but fall ill are permitted to skip their scheduled visit. However, it is crucial that they notify the authorities about the reason for their absence. Once their sick leave officially ends, they are required to report to the TCR within seven days. Failure to show up within that window can lead to legal consequences.

Under current Ukrainian law, individuals are entitled to miss a TCR appointment if they are sick. Valid reasons for an official deferral include illness or the death of a close relative. In such cases, the citizen must inform the recruitment center of their situation within three days. The TCR has the authority to summon military-liable persons and impose penalties—including fines and placing individuals on a wanted list—for non-compliance.

Strict Adherence to Deadlines Is Key

“To officially postpone your visit to the TCR, you must have a valid reason, such as a medical certificate,” stated Vladyslav Deriy.

This remark underscores the need for documented proof when missing an appointment, especially due to illness.

After a sick leave certificate is closed, the individual is obligated to appear at the TCR within seven days.

“Once your sick leave ends, you must report to the TCR within 7 days,” said Yuriy Ayvazyan.
This regulation helps maintain order and efficiency in the operations of recruitment centers.

Summonses are sent via Ukraine’s national postal service, Ukrposhta, and must be collected by recipients within three days. Ignoring this obligation can result in negative repercussions for those liable for military service. Following these rules is essential to avoid penalties and ensure timely fulfillment of military duties.

This information is vital for anyone who may need to visit a TCR, as adhering to the specified deadlines and formalities can directly affect their future military obligations. It is also important to be aware of the potential outcomes of failing to meet these requirements, which may include fines or other sanctions. Understanding these regulations helps prevent unexpected complications and ensures a smooth process for fulfilling one's military duty.
