Ukrainians will be able to pay less for utilities: who will receive a discount of up to 75%.
Ukrainian citizens with the status of combatants can receive a discount on utility services, depending on the tariff. According to a statement from the press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU), these individuals are entitled to the following discounts:
- 75% discount on housing usage payments
- 75% discount on utility services
- 75% discount on the cost of fuel for those without central heating
- 100% discount on utility services for persons with disabilities
To receive discounts, it is necessary to write two applications and submit them to the PFU. The first application concerns entering data into the Unified State Automated Register of individuals entitled to benefits (USAR), and the second - receiving benefits for housing and utility service payments. To submit applications, one must have their passport, identification code, and combatant's certificate.
The law granting combatants the right to discounts on utility services will be in effect until 2025. This encourages social protection for these individuals and eases their financial situation.
