Ukrainian Mykhailiuk debuted for 'Utah' in NBA match.
Ukrainian basketball player Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk appeared in his first official match for the 'Utah' team in the National Basketball Association.
In the match against 'Denver' (103:129), Mykhailiuk scored 6 points, making 2 three-point shots out of 5 attempts, secured 1 rebound and 2 assists in 15 minutes and 29 seconds on the court.
This is Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk's first match of the season after missing the first 5 games.
The 27-year-old Ukrainian player joined the 'Utah' team this offseason. In the previous season, he played for the 'Boston' team, which became the NBA champion, winning the 18th title in the club's history.
Mykhailiuk became the second Ukrainian to achieve this feat. The first was Stanislav Medvedenko, who won the title twice with the 'Lakers' team - in 2001 and 2002.
In the NBA finals, Mykhailiuk participated in three games where 'Boston' defeated 'Dallas' 4-1. He played three minutes, scoring two points in the first game, and also ten minutes, earning three points and one rebound in the fourth game. In the fifth game, he was on the court for 39 seconds and made one rebound.
In the previous season, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk averaged 4.0 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game.
