UDC has significantly improved the efficiency of the river freight fleet, comparing the third quarter to the first:
- The average number of convoys increased by 3.8 times.
- The average monthly volume of river freight increased by 43%.
- The volume of backloading of ships has doubled.
The company is also negotiating with maritime freight forwarders regarding new routes and transportation conditions, allowing it to expand its activities.
Financial Indicators on the Rise
Thanks to cost optimization and improved managerial discipline, the results are positive:
- Operational losses were reduced by 1.5 times, and net loss by 1.8 times.
- The proportion of fixed costs in the cost price decreased by 8%, while administrative expenses dropped by nearly half.
- Average monthly cash inflows increased by 46%, while fixed operating payments decreased by 10%.
Moreover, the company launched a public investment project to create a modern training complex for training ship captains, and is also conducting an analysis of the anti-corruption system with the support of the UN Development Programme in Ukraine and the Government of Japan.
