Strikes Target Russian Locomotives in Crimea

According to UATV: On June 4, operators from the 413th 'Raider' Battalion of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces struck two locomotives belonging to Russian occupation forces in Crimea. The attack took place in the eastern part of the Crimean Peninsula, near the settlements of Rozdolne and Vladyslavivka. These strikes were aimed at disrupting the military logistics operated by Russian railway personnel.

This railway line connects Dzhankoi with Kerch and serves as a critical artery for moving military supplies for the occupiers. Ukrainian military operations are putting this logistics network at risk, potentially affecting the supply of Russian forces in the region. Understanding Crimea's role as a key staging ground for Russian operations in southern Ukraine highlights the significance of such disruptions.

We were simply checking the documents of Russian railway workers who were facilitating military logistics in occupied Crimea. Among the train drivers, we found no papers authorizing them to operate such transport on Ukrainian territory. So we forcibly stopped their trains—military ones.

Strategic Importance of Controlling Military Logistics

Attacks on Russian locomotives in Crimea underscore the strategic importance of controlling military logistics in the region. Destroying or halting railway traffic complicates the delivery of essential resources to Russian forces, which can negatively affect their ability to conduct combat operations. This also reflects Ukraine's continued active efforts to uphold territorial integrity and liberate occupied lands.
