Ukrainian Flamingo Missile: How a Pink Projectile with a Range of 3000 km Will Change the War.
Defense Technology Exhibition in Lviv
According to inkorr.com: A международная выставка оборонных технологий Defense Tech Valley 2025 took place in Lviv, organized by the Brave1 cluster. Ukrainian and foreign developers presented innovative weapon samples that can significantly affect the course of modern military actions. The event was attended by over five thousand people from 50 countries, and the 'Army TV' channel highlighted unique exhibits – from drones with artificial intelligence to the famous 'Flamingo' missile.
Innovative Missile 'Flamingo'
Among the most impressive exhibits at the exhibition was the Ukrainian 'Flamingo' missile, distinguished by its unusual pink color. The technical director of the developing company Fire Point, Iryna Terekh, spoke about the origin of this color, noting that it was an old corporate joke that became a symbol.
'What is the worst that can happen if a woman manages a defense company? In principle, nothing terrible, but the missiles might turn pink,' she said with a smile, adding that it was in this color that the missile successfully passed its final tests.
Drone Systems with Artificial Intelligence
The exhibition also focused on drone systems equipped with artificial intelligence. It was announced about the cooperation between The Fourth Law and Vyriy Drone companies aimed at mass production of FPV drones with autonomous capabilities. This technology allows drones to independently identify and destroy targets even if the operator loses direct visual contact.
Plans for Missile Production
Recently, Ukraine announced the serial production of new 'Flamingo' missiles, which are claimed to have a range of up to 3000 kilometers. These missiles, produced by the defense company 'Fire Point', are equipped with a warhead weighing one ton, which significantly exceeds the 450 kg of the American Tomahawk.
It is important to note that manufacturers have ambitious goals for increasing missile production volumes. Currently, Fire Point is producing one missile per day, but by December this figure is planned to increase to seven units per day to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.
The exhibition in Lviv highlighted the importance of new technologies in the defense sector and opened up prospects for further cooperation between Ukrainian and international companies. The significance of innovations such as the 'Flamingo' missile and drones with artificial intelligence cannot be overstated, as they can radically change approaches to warfare.
