It should be noted that Russian biathletes are facing a serious shortage of quality foreign ammunition, which negatively affects their results, reported Russian RBC. World champion 2017 Anton Babikov spoke about this problem.

After the mass start at the International Club Biathlon League Cup, where Bibikov placed 23rd and made eight misses, the athlete linked his failures to the quality of the ammunition. Babikov also stated that if the situation does not improve, he may end his career.
