Ukrainian athletes impress at the 2024 Olympics
The first day of the 2024 Olympics in Paris was both successful and disappointing for Ukraine. Olena Kostevych set a Ukrainian record for the number of appearances at the Summer Olympics. Ukrainian gymnasts also showed good results, leaving their mark in the team all-around.
Ukrainian team athletes also found themselves in the quarterfinals and finals in various sports such as diving, cycling, and fencing. Unfortunately, Ukrainian rowers and shooters did not advance to the finals. In football, the Ukrainian team achieved a very dramatic victory.
At the 2024 Olympics, our country will compete in two disciplines - women's quadruple sculls and men's lightweight double sculls.
Ukrainian athletes will compete in many sports at the Olympics, except for team sports. The football team will compete in these Games for the first time since independence.
