Frontline Situation
According to UATV: Ukrainian defense forces are carrying out counterattacks north of Huliaipole, which is having a positive impact on the situation in the Prymorske area. Retired Lieutenant General Ihor Romanenko noted that Ukrainian troops are successfully striking enemy positions near Stepnohirsk, demonstrating active defensive operations. The ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine remains a critical focus of international attention, with daily shifts in local tactical positions. He simultaneously confirmed that the situation in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration is more complex.
Russian Army Actions
On February 15, 2023, the Russian army conducted 37 assaults in the following areas:
- Huliaipole
- Dobropillia
- Uspenivka
- Varvarivka
- Pryluky
- Zaliznychne
- Staroukrainka
- Zelene
- Krynychny
These actions indicate significant enemy activity in these regions. On the Orikhiv axis, occupying forces also carried out active offensive operations towards Stepnohirsk, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, and Shcherbakove.
Commenting on the situation, Ihor Romanenko stressed the importance of an active defense, stating: 'Defense must be active, which means conducting counterattacks.'
The frontline situation remains dynamic, with activity recorded from both sides. Ukrainian forces, in particular, are attempting to seize the initiative by executing counterattacks, signaling a shift in tactics. Meanwhile, the increase in attacks by Russian troops underscores that the conflict remains intense, with both sides continuing to actively seek opportunities to achieve their strategic objectives.
