Russia’s Military Sustains Major Losses
According to UATV: On May 30, 2023, Ukraine’s General Staff of the Armed Forces released a new battlefield update detailing heavy Russian casualties. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces eliminated 1,430 enemy soldiers, along with 2 tanks, 70 artillery systems, and nearly 500 vehicles.
Since the full-scale invasion began on February 24, 2022, Russia’s total combat losses have reached staggering levels. According to the General Staff, approximately 1,362,500 personnel have been killed. In addition, the following equipment has been destroyed:
- 11,960 tanks
- 24,643 armored combat vehicles
- 42,930 artillery systems
- 1,813 multiple launch rocket systems
- 1,398 air defense systems
Over the same period, Russia has also lost:
- 436 aircraft
- 353 helicopters
- 1,500 ground robotic systems
- 318,433 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles
- 4,693 cruise missiles
- 33 naval vessels and boats
- 2 submarines
- 100,713 vehicles and fuel tankers
- 4,231 units of specialized equipment
