Ukraine Strikes Key Russian Military Infrastructure: Munitions Depots, Missile Plant, and Refineries Targeted.
Ukrainian Military Operations
According to UATV: Ukraine's Armed Forces are continuing their campaign of precision strikes against critical Russian military infrastructure. These strategic operations are designed to degrade the resources that sustain Russia's war effort, targeting facilities deep inside Russian territory. Recent attacks have focused on munitions stockpiles, a key missile production plant, and vital oil refineries.
On February 12, a missile and ammunition arsenal in Kotluban, Volgograd Oblast, was struck. The regional governor, Andrey Bocharov, confirmed the attempted missile attack, attributing it to Ukrainian long-range strike systems. Furthermore, Ukraine's General Staff reported a successful strike on the 'Michurinsk Progress Plant' in the town of Michurinsk, a facility that manufactures high-tech equipment for Russian aviation and missile systems.
Attacks on Strategic Facilities
This forms part of a broader pattern of strikes on Russia's military-industrial complex. Earlier, on February 7, the Redkinsky Chemical Plant in Tver Oblast was attacked. The following day, February 11, saw a strike on the Volgograd Oil Refinery, a facility with an annual capacity of 14–15 million tons of oil. Additionally, the governor of the Komi Republic confirmed an attack on the Ukhta Oil Refinery, part of the 'Lukoil' company, which processes over 4 million tons of oil per year.
Ukraine's Security Service is orchestrating these targeted strikes against Russia's oil industry, which directly fuels its military machine. The objective is to reduce the effectiveness of Russian military resources and complicate their logistical operations on the front lines.
These strikes on Russian military targets underscore the continuation of active combat operations in the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
Attacks on strategic enterprises, particularly in the oil and missile industries, could significantly impact Russia's ability to sustain its military operations. This confirms Ukraine's intent to focus on destroying the enemy's critical logistical and production assets. These developments highlight the evolving nature of the conflict and its implications for regional stability.
