Benfica Sets €40 Million Price Tag on Ukrainian Goalkeeper Trubin Amid Transfer Interest.
Anatoliy Trubin’s Future in Question
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin may be on his way out of Benfica, as interest in his services continues to grow. The Portuguese club has already received multiple transfer offers and values the shot-stopper at €40 million. A portion of that fee—around €16 million—would go to his former club, Shakhtar Donetsk.
Trubin’s Time at Benfica
Trubin joined Benfica from Shakhtar and is currently under contract with the Lisbon side until June 30, 2028. During the 2025/2026 season, he made 45 appearances, conceding 35 goals and keeping 19 clean sheets. Notably, he also scored a goal against Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid.
Transfermarkt values Trubin at €28 million—significantly lower than Benfica’s asking price. If he departs, the club may turn to 23-year-old Samuel Soares as his replacement. Benfica is also exploring options from Brazilian clubs. As a result, the situation surrounding Trubin remains a major talking point, and his career could take a new turn in the near future.
This development highlights the growing prominence of Ukrainian footballers on the international stage, a trend tied to the national team’s recent successes and strong performances in top European leagues.
As a young and talented goalkeeper, Trubin has the potential to become a key player for whichever club he joins next, which could further accelerate his career growth and open up new opportunities on the global stage.
