Following the qualifying tournament that took place from October 17 to 19 in Paris, it was announced that Ukrainian athlete Nikita Filipov has secured his place in the finals scheduled for November in Egypt.

23-year-old Kyiv resident Nikita Filipov (club 'Champion') has secured another ticket for Ukraine to the final stage. After losing in the group stage, he collected himself and confidently defeated opponents from Morocco and Ecuador, and in the playoffs, he overcame Czech Martin Drabek - clinching a spot in Cairo.
General Successes of Ukrainian Athletes
Earlier, seven more Ukrainian athletes received the right to participate in the World Championship. The Ukrainian team also demonstrated its strength at the European Youth Olympic Festival, finishing 10th in the overall medal standings with 5 golds, 8 silvers, and 10 bronzes.
