Ukrainian Defense Industry Received 5 Billion Hryvnias: How This Will Change Weapon Production.
Financial Support for the Ukrainian Defense Industry
According to inkorr.com: In Ukraine, a concessional lending program has been launched, which significantly strengthened the defense industry. Over the course of a year, 80 loans have been issued for a total amount of about 5 billion hryvnias. This will allow for a quicker transition from the development stage to mass production of weapons.
Support for Manufacturers
Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Hvozdiyar noted the success of the program, which contributes to the development of Ukrainian manufacturers. She emphasized that the state is creating conditions for the stable operation of the defense industry sector, which is key for the country's defense economy.
Demand for Loans
The lending program is in high demand: new applications have already been submitted for a total of about 700 million hryvnias. Additionally, 52 more applications totaling over 4 billion hryvnias are being considered. Participation in the program allows private defense manufacturers to receive loans at 5% per annum for equipment purchases, production development, and new military projects.
Thus, Ukrainian manufacturers of weapons and defense technology have received important financial support through this program, which promotes the expansion of production and the development of new projects, while simultaneously strengthening Ukraine's defense economy.
