Today's massive attack on the power system may have consequences for future power outages, said Yuri Boyko, adviser to the Prime Minister of Ukraine. He noted that the plans for winter preparation will have to be adjusted. Boyko expressed hope that by the end of the day it will be clear how the attack affected the power system and how energy supply to consumers will be restored.

The adviser also noted that there were no plans for major restrictions or outages until the end of October, as minimal load on the power system was expected. But he is confident that it will be necessary to analyze the condition of the power system after the attack and adjust plans for winter preparation.

Ukraine was subjected to a massive attack by the occupiers, and the Kyiv Hydroelectric Power Plant was among the targeted energy facilities. The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation confirmed that the dam of the Kyiv HPP was not destroyed by rockets.

Also, «Ukrenergo» issued an order to introduce emergency power outages.
