Ukrenergo has introduced hourly power outages throughout Ukraine: what is known.
According to inkorr.com:
On October 22, after another attack on Ukraine's energy system, Ukrenergo made the decision to introduce hourly outage schedules in all regions of the country. This information was announced by the electricity transmission system operator at 15:40.
According to Ukrenergo's statement, in the regions where emergency outages were previously implemented, hourly outage schedules will come into effect starting at 16:00 to ensure electricity supply for consumers who have been without power for an extended period. The volume of outages will reach up to three stages simultaneously.
Situation in Kyiv and other regions
The situation in the capital is particularly severe. The CEO of Yasno, Serhiy Kovalenko, noted that 'almost every other person in Kyiv is without power.' Energy workers are actively working to restore the power grid, but this takes time.
Dnipro region was the first to switch from emergency mode to stabilization outage schedules at 13:30. Kyiv planned to make a similar transition at 16:00 according to Ukrenergo's directives. DTEK urged residents of Kyiv to follow updates on official Telegram channels.
Ukrenergo announced the introduction of hourly outages in response to energy attacks. In different regions, these outages are implemented with varying frequency to restore electricity supply for consumers. While the situation in Kyiv remains critical, restoration work is already underway.
In the face of constant attacks on the energy system, Ukrainians once again witnessed an important change in the electricity supply regime, highlighting the challenges facing the energy sector. Restoration of electricity and maintaining the stability of power networks remain a priority for energy workers, as this is critically important for the daily lives of citizens.
