Ukrenergo Introduces Hourly Blackouts: When the Power Will Be Off.
According to inkorr.com: Ukrenergo is implementing hourly power outages due to the consequences of missile and drone attacks. The blackout schedules will be in effect from 3 PM to 10 PM due to the difficult situation in the energy system.
'Due to the difficult situation in the energy system, measures to limit consumption are being reintroduced throughout all regions of Ukraine. Hourly blackout schedules will be implemented from 3 PM to 10 PM. The scope of limitations will range from 1 to 2 shifts,' Ukrenergo reports.
The Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Mykola Kolisnyk, noted that the most affected areas were in Vinnitsa, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Lviv regions.
The Importance of Economical Energy Consumption
He urged citizens to use electricity rationally and avoid turning on energy-intensive devices during peak load hours. In preparation for the autumn-winter period, energy workers completed planned repairs at thermal and hydro power facilities.
About 10 GW of installed capacity has been restored, and reserves of equipment for emergency recovery operations have been created, allowing for quick responses to damages and stabilizing the operation of the energy system,' added Mykola Kolisnyk.
