«Ukrzaliznytsia» announced the expansion of international and domestic connections.
In "Ukrzaliznytsia", a new schedule will come into effect from December 15, which will be presented in November. It will include expansion of international and domestic connections. This was reported by the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia", Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, during a television marathon.
«From December 15, the new schedule will come into effect, I won't spoil it, but we will definitely present the new schedule in November. It will include new additions and expansions of both international and domestic connections, so by the Christmas holidays we will make such pleasant gifts to our passengers», – said Pertsovskyi.
Before this, he reminded that "Ukrzaliznytsia" has taken a strict course to ensure that all tickets are exclusively available through official sources.
But the demand still exceeds supply because we have limited rolling stock, many cars are currently engaged in medical transportation and despite renovations, added wagons are not always sufficient for all connections. If we talk about international connections, it's also a matter of cooperation with international partners», – said Pertsovskyi.
Let us remind you that on October 21, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, upon submission of the Supervisory Board of "Ukrzaliznytsia", appointed Oleksandr Pertsovskyi as Chairman of the Board for a period of three years. Until the completion of the contract with "Ukrzaliznytsia", Yevhen Liaschenko, who has held the position of Chairman of the Board since March 2023, will continue to work as a board member. In addition, Volodymyr Krot, Orest Lohunov, and Anton Mishyn have been dismissed from their positions as board members of "Ukrzaliznytsia".
It was also reported that "Ukrzaliznytsia" has prepared a draft of a new tariff reform. Thus, the company plans to increase transportation costs for building materials by 52%, ore and coal by 7%, and the return of empty wagons by 67%.
