Full List of Free Services on Ukrainian Trains Revealed by Railways Operator.
Rail Travel Gains Momentum
According to Novyny.live: With the closure of Ukraine's airspace, more and more citizens are turning to trains for their journeys. This shift has significantly boosted the popularity of Ukrzaliznytsia, the national railway operator, which now provides not only comfortable travel conditions but also an expanded range of passenger amenities. The price of a ticket covers:
- a seat or berth
- bed linens
- accident insurance
- the ability to return to the previous station at no extra cost if a passenger misses their stop
Travelers are entitled to complimentary services such as drinking water, medications from the first-aid kit, and access to a microwave and refrigerator. These perks enhance the travel experience, especially for those on long-distance routes. As for bedding, the cost has risen from 80 hryvnias to 95 hryvnias, which may affect the overall trip budget.
Additionally, each passenger can bring carry-on luggage weighing up to 36 kg, provided its total dimensions do not exceed 200 cm. This allowance enables travelers to pack essential items, a key convenience for extended journeys.
Complimentary Perks for Passengers
The free bonuses offered by Ukrzaliznytsia include a set of services available on Intercity and Intercity+ high-speed trains. Common passenger inquiries revolve around baggage rules, availability of no-cost services, and ticket refund policies. All these features make rail travel in Ukraine more accessible and appealing to travelers.
