Christian Eriksen has joined Malmo: former Manchester United player trains with the Swedish champions.
According to The Sun: Christian Eriksen has left 'Manchester United' and joined 'Malmo' to train with the Swedish champions.
The Danish footballer became a free agent after his contract with 'United' ended in June.
malmo instagram PAEriksen, 33, began training at 'Malmo' on Thursday morning. He previously attracted interest from 'Burnley' and 'Fenerbahce' during the summer transfer window, but no deal was signed.
Now he trains alongside teammate Anders Christensen, and both players have recently faced serious health issues. Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during a match for the Danish national team in June 2021 and was sidelined for seven months.
Malmo's sporting director Daniel Andersson said: “Christian is a good player and a nice person. We want our training sessions to be of a high level.”
He added: “He can be an inspiration for us. He asked “AS” [Christensen] if he could join us. We won't be training from Friday to Sunday, but if he joins us next week, it won't harm.”
Eriksen will not be able to play for 'Malmo' this season as the registration period for 'Allsvenskan' closed on August 31, and the team has already submitted its squad for the Europa League.
There are some exceptions to the league's registration rules that 'Malmo' may consider if they decide to offer Eriksen a contract, but for now the club has not signaled any intention for a long-term collaboration with him.

MANCHESTER UNITED TRANSFER UPDATES
Andersson also noted: “Our window has closed, and I haven’t thought about how he might fit into our team yet.”
“Right now, we are just helping him, and it’s a nice and inspiring opportunity for our players.”
Eriksen stated in June that he is unlikely to continue his career in the Premier League after more than 10 years in England.
Currently, 'Malmo' sits in fourth place in the top division of Sweden, trailing 15 points behind leaders 'Mjallby'.
Joining 'Malmo' could be an important step in Eriksen’s career, considering his professional background and desire to get back into the game after serious health issues. The club could benefit from his experience as the Dutch team is currently looking for good results to improve its standing in the championship.
