The government announces 6500 hryvnias payments for winter: who will receive assistance.
According to inkorr.com: The government is actively working on financial support for the most vulnerable groups of the population before the start of the heating season 2025/2026. The 'Warm Winter' program offers a one-time assistance of 6,500 hryvnias per household.
Who can receive assistance
This program is aimed at the most disadvantaged segments of the population, including children from low-income families, internally displaced persons, and vulnerable adults. More than 4.3 billion hryvnias are planned to be allocated for the implementation of the program to support 640 thousand families across Ukraine.
How funds will be distributed
Beneficiaries do not need to submit new applications or stand in line. The money will be automatically credited to the household's account or on the virtual card 'eAssistance'.
What the assistance can be spent on
The funds should be used to cover essential winter expenses, such as:
- warm clothing,
- utilities,
- food,
- medications,
- transportation.

Receiving this assistance will not affect subsidies. Be cautious as fraudsters may attempt to deceive using fake links. Never share your personal information.
Also, remember that Ukrainians aged 40 and over can expect new payments from the government.
